GEODIS has signed a framework contract with Thales for the management of its transport and logistics operations in France. The agreement also covers the acquisition by GEODIS of all the shares held by Thales in TGFL (Thales Geodis Freight & Logistics), a joint venture providing bespoke logistics for players in the aerospace and defense sector.
This agreement covers consultancy, the management of customs services, the coordination of suppliers and the optimization of transport solutions for the manufacturing and supply chain departments of Thales in France. It also includes the design and implementation of transport solutions for special projects requiring specific engineering.
In parallel, GEODIS has acquired a 100% stake in the business of TGFL, expert in logistics and customs brokerage in the aerospace and defense sector. TGFL’ teams will join the Supply Chain Optimization Line of Business at GEODIS and bring the Group their expertise and experience in this highly specific market.
