GEODIS and Nestlé share fundamental values relating to human safety.
In May, the GEODIS’ Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône site (France), which works for Nestlé, completed a full year without accidents. And this great achievemnt goes on as the site reached 421 days without incident at the end of June. This result can be attributed to awareness-raising initiatives, training and joint efforts by Nestlé and GEODIS to make the working environment safer.
Emmanuelle Poilane-Grondeux, Supply Chain Manager, Nestlé Health Science France and Benelux, praised the efforts of GEODIS employees, who met this ambitious challenge by completing a full year accident-free: “The safety of men and women is a priority for Nestlé, because nobody should ever suffer an injury at work. The objective now: two years!”
Results are also improving continuously at other GEODIS sites working for Nestlé. At the end of June, the Rades site (Tunisia) reached 1,514 days without incident, the Espoo site (Finland) 950 days, the Ludinghausen site (Germany) 516 days, the Castellbisbal site (Spain) 317 days and the Bodenheim site (Germany) 209 days.
“GEODIS is proud of the mobilization and commitment of its employees in promoting our values,” said Marie-Christine Lombard, Chair of the GEODIS Executive Board. “Employee safety is a fundamental concept for our Group and here we can see the results of the continuous efforts made by our staff on sites working for Nestlé. They can all be proud of their accomplishment.”
